Russian Man Who Spent 67 Days At Sea Rescued
A Russian man who spent more than two months drifting in the Sea of Okhotsk has finally been rescued. Unfortunately, his brother and nephew did not survive the ordeal. 46-year-old Mikhail Pichugin set out in August to watch whales with his relatives. The inflatable boat lost its engine, and a search and rescue effort came up empty. A fishing vessel spotted the boat on Monday and its crew pulled Pichugin to safety. The survivor, weighing just 110 pounds, reportedly lost half of his body weight during the ordeal. Officials have launched an investigation into the incident. (newser)
