Dalton stabbing incident sends two to the hospital
DALTON, Ga. (WDEF) — Two individuals were hospitalized after a stabbing incident at Rose’s discount store on Glenwood Avenue in Dalton on Friday afternoon.
Around 4:00 p.m., a man stabbed a woman multiple times inside the store.
The suspect, who reportedly knew the victim, fled on foot but was confronted by a Dalton Police officer near the Kroger gas station.
Instead of surrendering, he began stabbing himself in the chest before collapsing and was taken into custody.
Both the suspect and victim were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Their current conditions are unknown, and police remain on the scene as the investigation continues.
