Mocs Expect Another Good Football Game Against Western Carolina

Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) The Mocs are chasing a SoCon title, as they head down the stretch this season.
Since it’s Halloween week, UTC is hoping their trip to Western Carolina doesn’t turn into Western ‘Scary-lina’.

Mocs coach Rusty Wright doesn’t sugar coat what lies ahead for UTC this weekend in Cullowhee.
Said Wright:”Play probably the most talented team in our league. I don’t think there is any doubt about that. Top to bottom. Both sides of the ball. Top five quarterback at our level.”
Said defensive end Joseph Bakhole:”The challenge this week is the last game he threw about 55 passes, so we’re looking for the challenge of getting after the quarterback.”
Said Wright:”They’re averaging about 320-pounds up-front on the offensive line, so they make it hard for you to get to him. They do a good job of keeping him clean. They score a bunch of points.”
We saw Western score a bunch of points last year in a wild one against UTC.
UTC scored with less than a minute to play to pull within one.
Mocs went for two and made it on a juggling catch by Camden Overton 50-49 UTC.
But Western walked it off on this 32-yard field goal for a 52-50 victory.
Said Wright:”It’s exhausting when it’s all said and done. Good football games. That’s what you sign up for.”
Mocs head into the match-up with plenty of confidence since they’re riding a five game winning streak.
Said Bakhole:”It built up to this moment in the season. Now on this five game winning streak, we are ready to just attack every single week. We’re hungry. We’re hungry.”
Said receiver Chris Domercant:”Being in Chattanooga. We play meaningful games in November. I feel like this is just one of those games. We have the opportunity to make plays, especially with a good team like that. They’re probably going to put some points on the board. You’ve just got to match that intensity all game.”
