Alleged aggravated assault & robbery reported in UTC parking lot

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) —  The UTC Police Department (UTCPD) received a report of an alleged aggravated assault November 2, 2024.

UTCPD reported this incident began off-campus, but ended in UTC Parking Lot #62.

The report came from a non-student, who stated she got into the vehicle of an unknown male near the 1600 block of East 3rd Street.

While in the vehicle, the victim said the suspect choked her, stole her backpack, and fondled her.

She described the suspect as a 20-year-old, African American male, with bushy eyebrows, a thin mustache, a goatee, and a tattoo on his hand and neck.

UTCPD also described the suspects vehicle as a Tan Nissan SUV with a temporary tag.
