Collegedale officers under investigation after Knoxville incident

The Collegedale Police Department (CPD) stated they were made aware on November 5, 2024, of an incident that

occurred at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The incident occurred several days prior to CPD becoming aware.
This incident involved some of their officers who were off-duty.
CPD reported the incident involved significant violations of department policy, and immediately launched an internal affairs investigation.
CPD investigators learned that the University of Tennessee-Knoxville Police Department received a criminal complaint, relating to the incident.
Two of the officers involved, Burlon Hayworth and Andrew Carter, have resigned from CPD.
Corporal Josh Parson has been placed on paid administrative leave, pending the criminal investigation outcome.
This internal affairs investigation is still ongoing.
