Dunlap man charged with sexual exploitation of a minor
DUNLAP, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Dunlap man has been arrested and charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s (TBI) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) and the Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Department arrested Michael Houston Williford.
According to the TBI, ICAC agents received a tip via the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in July of 2023.
This tip indicated that more than 300 files of believed child sexual abuse had been uploaded to a cloud storage provider.
Throughout the investigation, agents determined Williford to be the owner of these files.
The TBI also said the images were uploaded between April and June of 2023.
Agents and deputies were able to arrest Williford on October 9, 2024 on charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
Williford was booked into the Sequatchie County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
