Marion County man arrested on sexual exploitation of a minor

MARION COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  A man out of Marion County has been arrested and charged for sexual exploitation of a minor.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s (TBI) Internet Crimes Against Children’s unit along with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and other organizations assisted with this case.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received a tip about 1900 files believed to be sexual abuse material from an account in Marion County.

According to the TBI, the files were uploaded from July to October.

Further into the investigation, it was determined the account belonged to Joshua Long.

Authorities were able to arrest Long on October 31, 2024.

Long is being charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

He was booked into the Marion County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
