Life Care CEO voices support for emergency conservatorship
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF)- We are hearing from the CEO of Life Care Centers of America following a major decision Wednesday.
A Bradley County Circuit Court judge granted Aubrey Preston, the son of Life Care founder and owner Forrest Preston, emergency conservatorship over his father’s affairs.
Aubrey Preston filed this petition because he says he has serious concerns about his 91 year old father’s ability to conduct business, the influence of his wife Kim Preston, and his declining health.
Life Care CEO Todd Fletcher told Mix 104.1 in Cleveland that despite the drama surrounding the company, it has been business as usual and believe the decision was for the best.
“Aubrey in his own right is a very accomplished and astute entrepreneur and businessman. We believe that he is the right man to continue to support us. Especially in this temporary period that Chancellor Bryant has given us. We appreciate him stepping in and supporting us going forward,” he said.
The emergency petition is in effect until January when a hearing on establishing permanent conservatorship is held.
