National Apprenticeship Week Celebrates 10 Years

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – This November marks 10 years of Engagement, Expansion, and Innovation through Apprenticeships across the country.  This year in celebration there are set to be over twenty-two hundred events and proclamations. 

These events have allowed countless individuals to learn about the life-changing impacts that Apprenticeships have continued to provide for job seekers and employers.

National Apprenticeship Week Celebration for the Hamilton County Chattanooga region was hosted at the Unum and offered a unique group of local civic leaders, business leaders, and employers who are highlighting the importance of young apprenticeships. 

Remarks from business leaders, panel discussions, and conversations with government officials were just some of the events offered at the afternoon event.

NAW is a nationwide celebration where employers, government workers, and more host events to showcase the successes and value of Registered Apprenticeship for strengthening our economy by developing a highly skilled workforce to meet industry needs, creating pathways for career seekers to catapult into good jobs, and advancing racial and gender equity.
