Cleveland attempted murder suspect found in Arizona

 

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) —  A Cleveland man wanted for attempted First Degree murder was found in Arizona.

In March of 2023, the Cleveland Police Department’s (CPD) Criminal Investigations Division (CID) responded to the Classy Cat on Inman Street on a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located two females who had been shot.

After further investigation, it was determined that Brandon Crofton was the suspect involved in this incident.

CPD said Crofton fled the state and was unable to be located.

Warrants were issued for Crofton for the following charges:

  • Attempted First Degree Murder (2 counts)
  • Possession of a Firearm during a Felony
  • Reckless Endangerment with serious injury/Use of a deadly weapon

CPD requested assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service to locate Crofton.

According to CPD, law enforcement in Glendale, Arizona observed Crofton in a vehicle during a surveillance operation.

Crofton was later arrested at a local business.

He is now waiting to be extradited back to Tennessee.
