Chattanooga man arrested at AT&T store for having child porn on his phone
HIXSON, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Chattanooga man was arrested at a local AT&T store for having child pornography on his phone.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to 5691 Highway 153, December 9, 2024 in regards to this incident.
According to the affidavit, Randall Lee Fraley brought his phone into the store.
Fraley asked for assistance in copying media from his phone apps.
When the employee was handed Fraley’s phone, a text was pulled up.
The employee then proceeded to switch to open apps and switched to the gallery.
Once in the gallery, the employee scrolled down and observed a “very young” child wearing only a shirt, with his lower half completely exposed.
When asked by investigators what stage the employee believed the child to be in, the employee stated “young toddler”, estimating the child to be 3 or 4 years old.
Three to four weeks earlier, Fraley came into the store asking for assistance on a separate matter.
According to the employee, Fraley needed assistance because he had deleted the shortcut from his home screen to the gallery.
When handed Fraley’s phone, the employee observed a nude photo of a teenage male.
The employee reported this to the manager, however no law enforcement were contacted due to the age range.
Fraley is a registered sex offender in Hamilton County.
When brought in to be interviewed about the 3 to 4 year old media, Fraley stated he found it on YouTube on his tablet and recorded it with his phone.
Fraley was placed under arrest, and is being charged with Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.
