Vols Guard Cameron Carr Leaves the Team

Bizarre deal for the Tennessee basketball team.
Guard Cameron Carr just left the team midseason, despite the fact the transfer portal doesn’t open for basketball until late March.
Even though Carr was currently sidelined with a thumb injury, he was expected back for SEC play.
Now UT has only nine healthy scholarship players.

Reporter:”Did y’all have any discussions?”
Said head coach Rick Barnes:”No. He just walked out. We were obviously counting on him on being apart of our team. Surprised his teammates. They were very disappointed. From here on it’s nothing really to talk about. He made his decision. No reason. It’s baffling to be quite honest with you.”
