Chattanooga Zoo welcomes new two-toed sloth, Boysenberry
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Zoo just got a new addition to their crew at Warner Park.
They kicked off the new year with the arrival of Boysenberry the two-toed sloth.
A few of our friends boarded a small plane to go pick her up in Oregon just before Christmas.
“Sloths are definitely a visitor favorite, and I’m so excited for Boysenberry to heighten guest experience and add to our Forests of the World building. We’ve wanted to get a new sloth for several years, and we really appreciate everyone who helped bring Boysenberry to Chattanooga.”
–Lacey Hickle, General Curator of Chattanooga Zoo.
Boysenberry is seven years old and weighs around 19 pounds.
You can go visit her now at the center of Chattanooga Zoo’s Forests of the World Building.
