Howard Band Director Will Be Back

Chattanooga (WDEF) – Suspended Howard High School band director, Dexter Bell, is expected to return to his job.

He was suspended without pay for seven days after claims of insubordination.

The incident happened one day before Chattanooga’s Armed Forces Day Parade.

As a result — the band could not perform.

It was the first time in more than 50 years.

Dozen of students protested after the incident.
