Man arrested after double shooting in south Chattanooga
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Chattanooga man has been arrested after shooting two people over the weekend, leaving them both in the hospital.
At approximately 1:03 a.m., February 9, 2025, Chattanooga Police (CPD) officers were dispatched to 5222 Woodland View Circle for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found two juvenile victims who had sustained gunshot wounds.
One victim sustained a gunshot to the left side of her head.
She was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for life threatening injuries.
The other victim sustained a gunshot wound to the right leg.
They were also transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers later went to the hospital to interview the victims, where they identified the shooter as Da’Shaun Foster.
According to an affidavit, a witness told officers Foster got into an altercation with someone called “Smoke” before the shooting occurred.
Foster would then go back inside the residence to retrieve a firearm.
He then came back outside, and began firing at the male party and other victims.
After executing a search warrant, officers located shell casings and the firearm inside the residence.
Foster was later arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.
He is being charged with three counts of Attempted First Degree Murder and three counts of Aggravated Assault.
