Lake Winnepesaukah closed until Thursday because of storm damage

Rossville, GA (WDEF) – The severe storms forced the closure of Lake Winnepesaukah Tuesday.

Pictures sent in by our viewers show the reason why.

Trees were uprooted, and limbs littered the ground.

Crews need time to clean up the park.

Tally Green with the amusement park says Lake Winnie will be closed through Wednesday, but she says none of the rides sustained any damage.

Inspectors are looking at all the rides to make sure they are safe and operational.

She expects every ride will be open on Thursday.
