EPB Fiber Warns About Bogus Pop Up Survey

Chattanooga (EPB) – EPB Fiber Optics is urging its Internet subscribers to be cautious about engaging with on screen pop-up messages, after some customers received a survey made to look as if it had been sent by EPB.

EPB Fiber Optics is not distributing this pop-up survey, which claims to offer exclusive rewards worth at least $70. Although EPB has no information about who is behind this pop-up survey or what they hope to accomplish, the utility urges everyone to use caution when they encounter on-line communications of unknown origin.

In addition, EPB offers its fiber optics customers a set of tools to eliminate or reduce the number of pop-up messages. The Kaspersky Internet Security suite is available to all EPB fiber optics customers using Macs and PCs at no additional charge, and protects against pop-ups and Internet threats.
