Beer Board Closes Fanatics Sports Bar

Chattanooga (WDEF)  The Chattanooga Beer Board has voted to shut down Fanatics Sports Bar and Grill on East Brainerd Road.

Board members voted unanimously to revoke their alcohol license following the investigation into a fatal single car crash in March.

John Woodlee died in the crash after being served 10 shots and eight beers at the bar.

Investigators showed video of him drinking for 5 hours.

When he left, he hit three cars in the parking lot and then a light pole which killed him.

Owners of the bar will not apply for a new license.
