Boo Carter Pulling Double Duty For the Vols in Spring Practice
Will the Vols Boo Carter become the new Travis Hunter of college football?
Hunter of course won the Heisman Trophy playing both ways at Colorado.
This spring, Carter is working at receiver for Tennessee after playing defensive back during his freshman season.
Said defensive coordinator Tim Banks:”Yeah I think it has been fine. Boo understands he’s a defensive back for us. The goal every year is to be the last man standing. We’re trying to do everything we can to give everybody an opportunity to continue to grow. His role on offense will be dictated from coach. At this point he seems to be handling it really well.”
Said receiver Travis Smith:”Just having him right beside you. Being able to be so twitchy and get out of the way. The movement like that. It’s awesome to see. I think Boo has got a bright future at both sides of the ball.”
