Two Murray County suspects arrested on child exploitation charges
MURRAY COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) — Two individuals have been arrested and charged in connection to a recent investigation involving child exploitation.
On March 12, 2025, personnel with the Murray County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) received intel from the Floyd County Police Department (FCPD) about two individuals attempting to meet a 14-year-old girl for sexual purposes.
According to MCSO, the information was gathered from a UC chat operation being conducted by FCPD.
After receiving the information, a meet was scheduled with the two suspects and the perceived child.
Authorities met and arrested Johnathan Eastridge at the meeting location.
Authorities also arrested Jessica Thomas at a residence due to her direct involvement in the crime.
After further investigation, it was discovered both Eastridge and Thomas were in possession of additional child exploitative material.
MCSO stated an executed a search warrant at 342 Deep Woods Drive.
Several devices were found containing child sexual abuse material along with other items related to the sexual abuse of children.
Both Eastridge and Thomas are being charged with the following:
- Criminal Attempt to Commit Child Molestation
- Sexual Exploitation of Minors
- Possession of Methamphetaine
- Possession of Drug Related Objects
