Duncan Avenue fire update
UPDATE: Chattanooga Fire officials rule the cause of the fire on Duncan Avenue as accidental.
Captain Anthony Moore said it was most likely caused by an electrical malfunction in a second floor bedroom.
No one was injured.
Three adults lived there, and they had no insurance.
The Red Cross is helping them with food, clothing, and a temporary place to stay.

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – No one got injured when a fire broke out at a home in Chattanooga Tuesday morning.
Crews arriving found light smoke coming from an upper bedroom of a house on Duncan Avenue.
They got the blaze out in about 5 to 10 minutes.
The fire was contained to the bedroom, but the rest of the home had smoke and water damage.
One adult male was home at the time, but escaped without getting injured.
There’s no word yet on the cause.
