Hamilton County chase

Hamilton County, TN (WDEF) – Hamilton County deputies tried to stop a vehicle Monday night after 8 p.m. for registration violation on I-75 South near Shallowford Road, but ended up chasing it instead.

The vehicle had a male and female inside it.

Deputies contacted the Georgia State Patrol when they were approaching the state line.

They hoped the GSP could help by putting out road spikes, but before they could reach the GSP the vehicle got off the highway at exit 345 and onto Highway 41 North.

Deputies then called off the pursuit due to increased traffic conditions.

Catoosa County deputies helped with the chase once in Georgia.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office officials described the suspect vehicle as green Toyota SUV with Tennessee registration and tag number 943YJJ. 

That information has been shared with nearby Georgia law enforcement agencies.
