Erlanger Report on Fireworks Injuries
Chattanooga (WDEF) The human toll of fireworks climbed this Fourth of July holiday in our area.
Erlanger reports eight people, including two children, were treated at their various E-R’s this year.
That is the highest number of victims in five years.
The most serious injury was an adult who suffered a partial hand amputation.
The two children were treated for burns to their cheeks.
Two other adults got eye injuries, including corneal abrasion and burns from explosives.
The other three were treated for burns and cuts to the face, plus wrist and hand dractures.
