Nightfall Preview: Selwyn Birchwood
Chattanooga (WDEF) – This week, Nightfall brings a rising blues star to town.
It was just a couple of years ago that Selwyn Birchwood won the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, beating out 125 other bands.
That landed him a recording contract with Alligator Records and his first album.
Now the Florida native is touring all over the country to support it.
Birchwood delivers energetic, modern blues, somewhat in the style of his idol, Buddy Guy.

The Selwyn Birchwood Band takes the Miller Plaza stage at 8PM Friday night.
The opening act will be the southern-fried Marlow Drive from Chattanooga.
