Two people arrested after authorities found nearly $150,000 in drug paraphernalia

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Two people have been arrested after local authorities seized a significant quantities of drugs, vehicles, firearms, and cash.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Narcotics & Special Investigations Division and the FBI conducted a search warrant at a home near the 400 block of Booth Road on April 16, 2025.

During the search, authorities recovered narcotics valued at approximately $144,960, including:

  • 5.4 ounces of Fentanyl

  • 2.1 ounces of Methamphetamine

  • 21.2 ounces of THC Vapes

  • 1.9 ounces of Crack Cocaine

  • 0.5 ounces of Ecstasy

  • 0.07 ounces of Mushrooms

  • 12 pounds of Marijuana

Investigators also seized:

  • A 2014 Dodge Charger, 2012 Dodge Journey, and 2011 KIA Optima

  • Three firearms

  • About $1,000 in cash

According to HCSO, Anthony Prater and Catherine Boaz were arrested and face multiple charges.

Prater is charged with:

  • Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon

  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony

  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

  • Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms, Fentanyl, Marijuana, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, and Ecstasy for Resale

Boaz is charged with:

  • Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms and Fentanyl for Resale

  • Simple Possession of Marijuana
