RINGGOLD, Ga. (WDEF) —  A Ringgold man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to drug trafficking.

James Blevins was accused of selling fentanyl to individuals on several different occasions.

The Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) executed a search warrant at his residence, authorities found 60 grams of fentanyl, a pill press, and over $10,000 in cash.

According to the Lookout Mountain District Attorney’s Office, after Blevins was arrested, he admitted that he bought one ounce of fentanyl per week in Chattanooga.

He would then bring it back to Catoosa County and “cut it” and turn it into two ounces of pressed fentanyl, which he sold of $100 a gram.

Blevins entered a guilty plea on February 25, 2025, and is being charged with Trafficking Fentanyl and Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl.

The Lookout Mountain District Attorney’s Office said Blevins was sentenced to 30 years, with the first 10 years to be served incarcerated, without the possibility of parole.
