Cherokee County authorities locate escaped inmate

Authorities bringing Robert Keith Revis into custody / Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office

UPDATE:  Robert Revis has been located and taken back into custody.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Nc. (WDEF) —  Authorities in Cherokee County are asking the public for help in locating an escaped inmate.

Robert “Robbie” Revis is a white male, standing about 6 feet 1 inch tall, and weighs around 155 pounds.

According to the Mayor of Murphy, he was last seen at 9:28 a.m. near 9554 U.S. Highway 19.

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing tan inmate clothings.

However, authorities say it is possible that he’s changed clothes.

Authorities also urge the public to not approach him.
