East Ridge police investigate reported targeted incident at local hospital

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) —  The East Ridge Police Department (ERPD) is investigating a drive by shooting that occurred at a local hospital.

At 4:35 p.m., May 5, 2025, ERPD responded to 941 Spring Creek Road (Park Ridge East Hospital) on reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers began securing the scene.

According to ERPD, three unknown suspects arrived in a black Dodge Durango with black wheels.

The suspects were dressed in all black, and fired at someone in the parking lot.

ERPD says this incident appears to be targeted.

Officers located the victim and confirmed he was not injured.

The building was struck from the shots fired.

ERPD is currently investigating the incident by processing physical and electronic evidence on scene.
