Tech that makes being a Mom on the Go so much easier

CHATTANOOGA, TN –

Tech shows have a tendency to get lost in the fun and exciting things and skip over some of the things that matter most to us.  This week we brought in a resident expert on some tech for Mom that you may not even know she needs.

Grace Barth is an avid cosplayer, mom of two and like all of us is always on the go. She brought in some tech that makes her life easier while you still have time for your mom on the go.

“These are a few of my favorite tech items that I like to use personally as a mom. So first off, we have smartwatches. Smartwatches are really, really great, especially with children, because if you work in a busy workforce like I do, they’re really great. Just have. On if the school needs to get a hold of you or your significant other. And they’re just really great. Also good for runners and they’re also really good for just like tracking your health to these days and stuff as well.”

Smart watches have come a long way in that they have interchangeable bands so they can match your outfit rather than looking like a swatch band from the 80s. You can always color coordinate and pick up bands on Amazon for pretty reasonable prices and they’re all easy to change out.

“Our second item would be tablets,” says Grace. “I personally love having a tablet because I am a book reader. I love books, and this is a perfect way to take all your books with you. Just slip it in your backpack, your purse, diaper bag, anything you want. It’s really, really great. Really portable. But also my favorite thing too, is that it’s really great with kids when you go to restaurants, because sometimes kids don’t want to sit still and that is perfectly fine. So you just pull this out and you can put their favorite movies on there or games. You know, it’s just it’s really great to have, especially for emergency purposes.”

Tablets have gone from simple ways to surf the web to full out computers. Not only can you read or watch movies, if you’re a working mom on the go they have enough computing power to run Adobe Creative and the full gamut of Microsoft Products.

“Lastly, my favorite item would be wireless headphones” says Grace. “So I enjoy these because they’re really great for running. But they’re also really, really great. Once the kids wind down and we put them to bed, if my husband wants to game on his Xbox or go to bed himself, these are really great to pop in so I can listen to my shows or listen to my audiobooks. It’s just really wonderful to have, especially for trips to if you like to travel or go on airplanes,  or car rides.”

Wireless headphones can connect to tablets, watches, computers and smartphones and most of them have noise cancelling capabilities so you can be lost in your own world and no one would ever know.

Make sure you remember your mom on this Mothers Day even if she’s not a tech mom.
