CFD conducts a rope rescue at Greenway Farms

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Fire Department conducted a rope rescue operation at the rock quarry at Greenway Farms.

At around 8 PM Monday, a man fell over 30 feet into the woods.

Firefighters were called to rescue him at the park off of Gann Store Road.

Due to the severe fall the man sustained many injuries.

Once firefighter located the patient and created a pulley system to bring him out of the woods. The patient has been transported to the hospital.

The CFD is urging caution at this popular location moving into the summer months as it’s proven to be very dangerous with many people getting severely injured.
