TV show COPS coming to Hamilton County for 38th season
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Lights, camera, patrol — the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is back on the national stage as COPS returns to film deputies in action for Season 38.
This will be the third time HCSO has been featured on the show.
Several episodes for Season 38 will be filmed throughout the summer.
Sheriff Austin Garrett said he’s proud HCSO has been selected to be apart of COPS once again.
“Many current law enforcement professionals, including several from our agency, no doubt were inspired to pursue this career after watching COPS as kids. This incredible opportunity allows us to highlight our people and their service while also helping us to inspire the best and brightest to join our ranks. The fact that this renowned television show has selected our agency and is investing the time and resources to highlight our work underscores that the HCSO is ‘Leading the Way’—not just in our state, but across the nation,” stated Sheriff Garrett.
According to HCSO, deputies will be joined by COPS personnel for eight weeks beginning tonight.
COPS production staff told HCSO that potential episodes will air in the fall of 2026.
