County music singer Conner Smith fatally struck 77-year-old pedestrian in Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) — A country music singer killed a pedestrian over the weekend in Nashville.
On Sunday, June 8, 2025, 77-year-old Dorothy Dobbins was struck by a vehicle on 3rd Avenue.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), Conner Smith was traveling North on 3rd Avenue when Dobbins was crossing the roadway.
MNPD’s preliminary investigation shows she was inside a marked crosswalk when struck by Smith around 7:30 p.m.
She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she later died.
Smith failed to yield, and showed no signs of impairment.
According to People, Smith’s attorney released a statement, saying Smith was involved involved in the accident, and that “his heart goes out to Ms. Dobbins’ family during this incredibly difficult time.”
No charges are currently present as the investigation continues.
