SCOTTSBORO, Al. (WDEF) —  A Scottsboro man is facing drug charges after police say they found meth and paraphernalia in his vehicle during a traffic stop.

On June 10, 2025, Scottsboro Police made contact with 29-year-old Jeseup Keigan Southard in the 21000 block of John T. Reid Parkway.

Officers quickly confirmed Southard had an active warrant.

During a search of his vehicle, officers found 7.3 grams of methamphetamine.

The Scottsboro Police Department said they also discovered several pipes and hidden containers used for drug concealment.

Southard was arrested at the scene and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was first booked into the Scottsboro City Jail, then transferred to the Jackson County Jail.

Police say the arrest was made without incident.
