Man arrested in Calhoun for threatening to shoot GBI agents
CALHOUN, Ga. (WDEF) — A man was arrested in Calhoun over the weekend for making terroristic threats against GBI agents.
On June 22, 2025, Casey Herron made contact with the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS).
While speaking to GEMA, he stated he was going to “shoot GBI agents.”
Shortly after, GEMA notified the GBI and local Calhoun agencies.
The following day around 5:00 p.m., the Calhoun Police Department (CPD) and GBI agents conducted a search warrant at Herron’s residence.
The GBI said Herron was taken into custody without incident.
