Dalton police searching for person suspected of stealing tools from Christian Heritage School

DALTON, Ga. (WDEF) —  The Dalton Police Department (DPD) is asking the public for help in identifying a man who stole tools from Christian Heritage School.

Surveillance cameras first captured the suspect at 2:00 a.m., June 8, 2025.

He came from the woods behind the school, and walked into the north parking lot where a construction contractor left several conecx trailers filled with construction equipment.

Afterwards, he went inside a parked school bus and stayed there until 6:45 a.m.

He later returned to the area at 12:30 a.m., June 9, and left with a handcart dolly and a large tote.

The contractor informed police that the following tools were stolen:

  • Dewalt impact drills
  • A Dewalt sawzall
  • Two Dewalt routers
  • Two 60-amp Flex batteries
  • Two 5-amp Dewalt batteries
  • Two battery chargers
  • Two Dewalt 360 lasers
  • Two Dewalt sheetrock guns
  • One toolbag with miscellaneous tools

These tools are worth approximately $2,500.

DPD described the man as light-skinned, appearing to be in his 20s or 30s, with facial hair, and wearing a grey baseball cap.
