CHA announces new, non-stop United Airlines flight to Newark
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA) has announced a new, non-stop flight to Newark, New Jersey (EWR) through United Airlines.
This flight will start Monday, January 6, 2026, and operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
“United continues to be a great partner, and Newark has long been one of the most sought after destinations for business and leisure travelers with convenient access to New York City and a broad network of global destinations. In fact, Newark offers more European destinations than any other U.S. airport.”
-April Cameron, President and CEO of CHA
EWR offers flights to 176 destinations across 56 countries, with 40 of those destinations in Europe.
CHA says this gives Chattanooga travelers exceptional onward access to Europe and beyond.
“With this new flight to Newark, Chattanoogans have another option to easily reach the New York City area and, via connecting flights, the world. The convenient flight times will be especially helpful for Chattanoogans looking to travel abroad to Europe. Amidst an uncertain economy, it’s validating to see CHA continue to add new flights to important strategic destinations.”
– Tim Kelly, Chattanooga City Mayor
The announcement of this new non-stop flight comes on the same day CHA announced the Spirit Airlines flight from CHA to Newark and two other designations would be discontinued at the beginning of October.
