CCA student arrested after making threats of mass violence

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Chattanooga Center for Creative Arts (CCA) student was arrested after making threats of mass violence.

On September 16, 2025, the school resource deputy (SRD) at CCA was made aware of a student who threatened mass violence.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), the threat involved students.

While investigating, school administrators found a journal belonging to the student with a hit list to students.

The student was later arrested and charged with Threats of Mass Violence.

The student was transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.
