Taylor Swift Reveals Details About ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ Announces Listening Events In Theaters

In an Instagram reel shared on Saturday (September 20), Taylor Swift shared details about the luxurious vinyl and CD packaging for her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, featuring stylish visuals by photographers Mert Alaş and Marcus Piggott. “I just wanted the fans to have as many images from this sort of world, this album era, as possible,” Swift says in the clip. “And so I really spent a lot of time figuring out how I could make the best vinyl product and the best packaging and the best CD experience that they could have.” Swift also discloses that “the CDs all have photo cards in them. The vinyls, they each have a poem inside of them, a unique poem. They’ve got more images than we ever planned to put in there.” Ahead of the album’s October 3 release, the pop superstar just announced a series of listening events, Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, set to take place in select AMC theaters from October 3-5. The 89-minute event will feature the premiere of Swift’s new music video for “The Fate of Ophelia,” as well as lyric videos for the new tracks, exclusive behind-the-scenes content, and personal commentary by Taylor. Swift has also announced a high-profile appearance on The Graham Norton Show in the UK, which will air on release day. (Billboard)
