22-Year-Old Man Attended Minnesota High School For 19 Days Using False Identity
Kelvin Luebke, 22, enrolled at White Bear Lake Area High School in Minnesota using the fake name Kelvin C. Perry Jr. and attended classes for 19 days before being discovered. Luebke presented a foreign birth certificate listing his age as 18, though court records show he is 22. He enrolled as a homeless unaccompanied youth, which federal law requires schools to accept immediately without academic records or residency proof. “Yes, a misunderstanding. Yeah,” Luebke said Thursday. “I had a different birth certificate on my other thing in Africa.” The superintendent confirmed Luebke even tried out for the football team. This marks his second fraudulent enrollment after attending Forest Lake Area School District from January 2022 to 2023 without graduating. Students recognized him from an Anoka County booking photo this week. Luebke faces no current charges but police are investigating. (Story URL)
