Dalton Police Department searching for attempted robbery suspect
DALTON, Ga. (WDEF) — The Dalton Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a man that attempted to rob a store at Gunpoint.
The incident happened Tuesday night around 9:45 p.m. at the Tienda Tikal store on 616 4th Avenue.
The suspect entered the store, wearing a mask, and pulled out a handgun when he reached the counter.
He demanded money from the cashier, who then informed the suspect that there was no money in the register.
The suspect then left the store, and witnesses stated they saw him walk north towards Redwine Street and then west toward 3rd Avenue.
The store’s cameras were able to get pictures of the suspect’s face and clothing.
He was described by witnesses as a young Hispanic male with brown hair, about 5’8″ or 5’9″, and weighing around 130 pounds.
The suspect wore a black hoodie with a “Quicksilver” logo on the chest and back.
He was seen wearing blue jeans and black sneakers as well.
