First-Ever Chattanooga Jazz Festival Brings Music and Community to the Choo Choo
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – A new sound filled the Chattanooga Choo Choo this past weekend as the city hosted its first-ever Chattanooga Jazz Festival.
The free, all-day event took place Sunday, transforming Station Street with the vibrant sounds of jazz, blues, and funk. Organizers say the festival was about more than music — it was a celebration of community and a spotlight on local talent.
“There have been swing dancers out in the field, people here just to vibe, and folks soaking in the music,” said Zaelyn Zayad, MC for the festival. “Each musician brought their own unique take, making the day truly special for everyone attending.”
With multiple acts performing throughout the day, festival-goers enjoyed a variety of styles and rhythms, proving that Chattanooga’s music scene is alive and thriving.
The inaugural Chattanooga Jazz Festival left attendees excited for future editions, showing that the city is ready to make jazz a recurring local tradition.
