Camper and acreage fire at local RV Park

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded to a camper and acreage fire on November 5. 

911 dispatch received a call regarding a camper fire located at an RV Park located at 2525 Igou Ferry Road.

Dallas Bay VFD arrived on the scene confirmed a camper fire including 2 acres on fire that potentially cause damage to the TVA powerlines.

Soddy Daisy FD responded with an engine and manpower. Sequoyah VFD responded with a water tanker.

No injuries were reported and firefighters extinguished the fires quickly. 

Dallas Bay VFD fire officials report the fire started from a vehicle and spread to the camper and dry terrain.

Damages are unknown.
