Dalton State increases enrollment for third straight year

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – Dalton officials say a win for Dalton State is a big win for the region.

The College reports that they have increased their enrollment for the third year in a row.

They hit 5,570 students this fall.

The school has grown by more than 22-percent over the last three years.

“This growth reflects more than numbers—it represents Dalton State’s expanding role in preparing a skilled workforce and driving economic vitality in our region,” Dalton State President John Fuchko said. “Our faculty and staff are deeply committed to student success and our mission of transforming students’ lives and our communities through education.”

Dalton State College also set a record for keeping their returning students this year.

72% of last year’s freshmen returned this fall.

The Dalton-Whitfield County Joint Development Authority posted  “What a win for our region!”

“More students pursuing degrees locally means a stronger workforce pipeline and stronger local economy. Proud of our hometown college!”
