Navy Attacks Report of Charges Against Timothy White over Chattanooga Shooting
Chattanooga (WDEF) – The U.S. Navy is responding to growing criticism over the Chattanooga attacks.
A conservative blogger over the weekend claimed that Lt. Commander Timothy White would be prosecuted by the Navy for discharging a firearm at a Naval facility during the shooting on July 16th.
He admits to firing his personal gun at Mohammad Abdulazeez.
On Saturday, blogger Allen West said he had confirmed that White would be charged.
People have been complaining on the U.S. Navy Facebook page.
And on Monday morning, they had this response.
"Stories of Navy personnel being charged with an offense are not true. There is still a long way to go in reviewing the facts of this tragic incident, but at this time we can confirm no service member has been charged with an offense."
