26th annual Grateful Gobbler 5K aims for big turnout

The race has become a Chattanooga staple with families coming out each year to burn some calories and support the Maclellan Shelter for Families. Walk, run, or stroll at promptly 8:00 a.m. Thanksgiving morning for the 26th annual Grateful Gobbler downtown!
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Get ready to wobble till you gobble this Thanksgiving! The Grateful Gobbler is back and bigger than ever.
Race directors Stan and Betsy McCright are anticipating an impressive turnout for Chattanooga’s turkey day tradition.
The 5K gives participants a reason to burn some calories Thanksgiving morning and support a great cause while they’re at it.
Proceeds benefit the Maclellan Shelter for Families. This organization keeps families together during extremely difficult times.
It’s one of the only resources of its kind in our region!
If you’re not a fan of cardio or have prior commitments Thanksgiving morning, you can still help by donating online.
The race will kick off promptly at 8 a.m. EST.
