Chinese Robot Breaks Guinness Record With 66-Mile Walk
Chinese technology company AgiBot has earned a Guinness World Record after its humanoid robot A2 completed a 66-mile continuous walk. The robot traveled from Jinji Lake in Jiangsu Province to Shanghai’s Bund during a 24-hour journey, setting the record for longest journey walked by a humanoid robot. AgiBot used a battery-swapping system that allowed A2 to continue operating without stopping. The robot adhered to all traffic regulations throughout its trek and navigated different surfaces including asphalt, tiled pavement, and bridges. At the conclusion of its record-breaking walk, A2 interacted with reporters and stated it might now “need a new pair of shoes.” (Story URL)
