Big Gay Holiday Market Returns
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Seed Theatre hosted its fourth annual Big Gay Holiday Market today, transforming the Civic Center at the Mountainside into a vibrant and inclusive holiday shopping experience.
The Chattanooga nonprofit, known for providing safe spaces, support groups, and mutual aid programs for LGBTQ+ youth, adults, and marginalized communities, invited local artisans and small businesses to showcase their work in a festive, community-driven setting.
Shoppers browsed booths filled with handmade goods, artwork, vintage pieces, and pride merchandise while enjoying seasonal drinks and holiday treats.
The event also offered a cozy lounge space for visitors to rest and connect, adding to the welcoming atmosphere that Seed Theatre works to cultivate.
Entry to the market was free with a donation of new socks or underwear.
All contributions support the organization’s hygiene pantry and free store, which provide essential items to unhoused and at-risk neighbors during the colder months.
Organizers say the market highlights queer creativity while strengthening community connections and supporting vital local resources.
Seed Theatre continues to expand its programming, including support groups, gender affirming clothing efforts, pantry services, and performing arts opportunities.
