Suspect Caught After Allegedly Assaulting Georgia State Trooper

A suspect wanted for assaulting a Georgia state trooper may have made his run through our area.
The Marshals service was looking for Jamie Carlos Thomas.
They believe he assaulted the trooper nine days ago in Warner Robbins and then fled the state.
The trooper suffered minor injuries.
The Marshals learned he was in East Tennessee.
They responded to a siting in Spring City and then later at a truck stop in Lenoir City.
That’s where they found him on Wednesday.
