Video Game Guide for 2025
Video games have changed a lot since we were kids. It used to be you had either a Sega or a Nintendo, you bought a good old fashioned game cartridge and you were good to go. Things are a bit more complicated these days, so let’s break things down. It’s all here on this week’s TechByte… before the Christmas deadline.
Time for kids to get hyped about getting their favorite game under the tree. But are you ready?
Hot games this season are Battlefield 6, Call of Duty Black Ops 7, and for Nintendo fans, it’s Metroid Prime 4.
Remember to be sure you know what game system your kid has. Last thing you want to do is buy a Playstation copy of a new release when your gamer has an Xbox.
If you’re not sure what to get, there’s no shame in getting a gift card as a stocking stuffer. Just remember, games are more expensive these days. New releases can run 80 bucks.
For PC gamers, a steam gift card is an awesome choice.
If they play lots of Fortnite, or Roblox, there are gift cards for those too.
Remember, if your child asks for a specific game, make sure you get that specific game, because they probably want to play it online with their friends.
Always remember to check content ratings to make sure the game you’re getting is age-appropriate.
