Two Locals Arrested for Meth Trafficking

WHITFIELD COUNTY — Two individuals from Whitfield County were busted after the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office conducted a drug investigation on December 18, 2025.
The drug investigation resulted in the arrest of Niya Destiny Hassett and Rachelle Nicole Dunagan.
69 Grams of Methamphetamine and other Schedule 2 pills were seized.
Rachelle Dunagan is being held at the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office for the following charges:
Trafficking MethamphetaminePossession of MethamphetaminePossession of Scheduled II Controlled SubstancePossession of Tools for the Commission of a CrimePossession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
Niya Hassett is being held at the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office for the following charges:
Trafficking MethamphetaminePossession of MethamphetaminePossession of Scheduled II Controlled SubstancePossession of Tools for the Commission of a CrimePossession of Methamphetamine with Intent to DistributeCriminal Attempt to Commit a Felony
Both Hassett and Dunagan are being held without bond.
